FewBits is dedicated to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains the commitment to transparency regarding Quick Converter, an offline-first utility application providing unit conversion, live currency exchange calculations, and Word document (.docx) to PDF conversion.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

FewBits believes in absolute data minimization. Quick Converter does not collect:

• Personal Identifying Information (name, email address, phone number, address).
• Hardware & Advertising IDs (Android Advertising ID, IMEI, MAC address).
• Location Data (GPS coordinates or network location).
• Contact lists, browsing history, or storage contents outside explicitly selected files.

3. Features & Data Processing

A. Unit Conversions (10+ Categories): All mathematical unit conversions (Length, Mass, Temperature, Speed, Data, Time, Area, Volume, Energy, Power) occur 100% locally on your device with zero network interaction.

B. Currency Exchange Rates: When updating exchange rates, the application makes an anonymous HTTPS request to public currency reference APIs. No identifying information or requested currency pairs are logged or associated with your identity.

C. Word to PDF (.docx to .pdf) Conversion:

• On-Device Engine: Converts documents entirely locally on your phone without sending any data over the internet.
• High-Fidelity Engine: If online, the document may be processed using a dedicated FewBits high-fidelity microservice to render complex vector charts and multi-column tables. The document binary is transmitted securely via HTTPS (TLS 1.3), processed ephemerally in volatile memory, and immediately deleted upon completion. No documents are retained, inspected, or shared. Cloud conversion requests are protected by automated fair-use rate limiting.

4. Android Permissions Used

Quick Converter requests only the minimal permissions required to function:

• android.permission.INTERNET: Required to retrieve live currency rates and communicate with the optional high-fidelity document conversion service.
• android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Used to detect network connectivity so the app can seamlessly fall back to on-device conversion when offline.

File access is handled strictly via Android's native Storage Access Framework (SAF). The app only accesses documents that you explicitly pick through the system file picker.

5. Third-Party Services

Quick Converter does not integrate third-party advertising SDKs, behavioral tracking suites, or commercial analytics frameworks. All network requests are routed over secure encrypted protocols (TLS 1.2/1.3).

6. Children's Privacy

Quick Converter is a general utility application not directed at children under the age of 13. FewBits does not knowingly collect or solicit any personal information from children.
